PARTNERSHIP FOR PERFORMANCE: Teachers collaborating with parents for school success! Join us on Thursday, February 2, 2012 from 5:00 to 6:00pm.
Is your child’s math confusing? Are you curious about what your child is currently learning in reading and/or math? Would you like to hear more about the third quarter curriculum? Do you want to learn some tricks to help your child at home?
Eastvalley Elementary has exciting news! Eastvalley is offering a “Partnership for Performance” seminar to discuss these topics. Some of our kindergarten through fifth grade teachers will be reviewing current GA Performance Standards, previewing upcoming content, and providing parents with ways to help their students at home. Don’t miss this important hour!
Only Eastvalley K-5 students are invited to attend with their parents. Please keep younger siblings at home. Please stay at Eastvalley and enjoy the PTA Meeting and Chorus performance at 6:30pm in the cafeteria.
We are pleased to have this opportunity to assist our parents and students. Please R.S.V.P. by returning the bottom portion of the invitation that was sent home on January 24, 2012 to your child’s teacher by Monday, January 30, 2012.

Eastvalley’s Partner in Education Horace Mann Insurance generously donated the bicycle as a perfect attendance incentive. Students with perfect attendance during the second quarter were eligible to win the bicycle. Perfect attendance is bell-to-bell attendance without being tardy or leaving early from school. All of the eligible students’ names were in a hat and the random drawing selected Trey Williams from Ms. Greenfield’s fourth grade class as the grand prize winner. Congratulations Trey! Horace Mann Insurance will donate two more bicycles for a third quarter drawing and a fourth quarter drawing. Good luck to all Eastvalley Eagles!

It is our ultimate responsibility to keep your child(ren) safe here at Eastvalley and we take that job very seriously. We also need to protect instructional time from interruptions as much as possible. In order to make that happen, we will be making some changes to procedures beginning January 6, 2009. Please read the procedures below so that you can be clear on the new guidelines.
Please do not ask the office staff to make an exception for your child(ren) as they are doing their best to keep each and every child safe. Please contact me if you have any questions regarding these new procedures.
Thank you for understanding the need to minimize instructional interruptions and keep all students safe while in our care. We appreciate those of you who volunteer in our building and in our classrooms. The new procedures help us to know who is present in our building at all times. Have a wonderful new year!
