Upcoming Events at Eastvalley

 
 
There is some wonderful things happening at the Eagle Nest!  I wanted to remind everyone of the events coming up here at Eastvalley Elementary.  

 

1)  Friday, September 30, at 6:30 pm - We will enjoy a special rhythmic performance by Dancing Drums called Drumming up Character in the gym.

 

 

  
 
2) Saturday, October 1, 2pm-6pm - Come join us for the Eastvalley Fall Festival!

THANKSGIVING AND CHRISTMAS ASSISTANCE

 
 
We would like to share information regarding Thanksgiving and Christmas assistance from The Center for Family Resources, Cobb Christmas, Inc. and Division of Family and Children Services.  Registration is October 4th and 5th between 9am-4pm.  Please see the attached flyer for the details.

Also, there is information about the Angel Tree Program offered through The Salvation Army for Christmas assistance and is taking place by appointment from now until October 7th.  Please see the attached flyer for the details.

Community Resource

 

 
CampSTARS, a bereavement camp, will be held  at Camp Twin Lakes.  The camp is for children who have experienced a lost by death.  The ages of the campers are 7 year olds through High School seniors.

 Dates for Camp STARS for Children ~ November 4^th – 6^th

Classroom Guidance

 

               
I have completed introductory classroom guidance lesson to the students. In this lesson the students learn how their school counselor can help guide them through a safe and successful school year.  The three main areas in which school counselors’ work directly with the students are through classroom guidance lessons, small group counseling, and individual counseling.

During the month of September our guidance lessons will focus on ways to be a successful learner.
