Red Ribbon Week

Dear Parents,

Thank you for a wonderful conference week.  I enjoyed sitting and talking to you about all the great things that your child is doing in class.  I am so blessed to have so many awesome students with dedicated parents in the class.

Check out all those students who are "Pretty in Pink".  Thank you for wearing pink and showing your support for Breast Cancer Awareness.

Important Reminders

Pictures went home last week.  Pictures and/or money needs to be returned by Friday, October 29.  Make up pictures will be on November 4th.

This week is RED RIBBON Week.  Below are the fun activities that are planned for the week.

• Monday the 25th is wear RED Day and pledge to be Drug Free.
• Tuesday the 26th is "Drugs and I Don't Mix".  "I Can be Free"  Students wear mismatched or crazy socks.
• Wednesday the 27th is "Team up Against Drug"  Students can wear a shirt of jersey that represents their favorite sports team.
• Thursday the 28th is "We're Too Bright to do Drugs"  Students can wear bright clothes and sunglasses.
• Friday the 29th is "Give Drugs the Slip"  Students wear slippers with their school spirit shirt.

Noodle Night!!!

We have been enjoying a fine week of testing.  Remember to eat a good dinner, get in bed early, eat breakfast, and be at school by 7:50 ready to go.  Hang in there!!!  Only 2 more days. 

Conference week begins on Monday, Oct. 18th.  Please return the conference forms that I sent home on Monday so that I can reschedule conferences with those who have conflicts in their schedules.  My hope is to have a face to face meeting with every student's parent and let them know all the good things that are happening in the classroom. 

Noodle Night is this Friday, Oct. 8th. 

The fun begins at 6:30 in the back field.  So bring your blankets and chairs because seating is limited.  Additional parking will be available at Eastside Baptist Church.

Don't forget to pre-order your Chick-Fil-A biscuit for $3.00.  All the money raised is put toward the Driftwood field trip. 

Books for Breakfast is on Thursday, Oct. 14th for Fifth Grade.

Chick-Fil-A is hosting the breakfast.  Get ready to enjoy a chicken biscuit with the cow.  There will also be wonderful prizes raffled off.  The point total for Fifth Grade students is 12 points by this Friday.  So keep reading and we hope to see you there.

Please return your Performing Arts Permission slips as soon as possible.  If for some reason you have lost your form please go to the following link, Performing Arts permission slips , and print off a new form and return it to me.  Dr. Bernard also asked us to share this website, Performing Arts Donation program , with parents that will give you more information on where the money goes and how programs work.
