Wow! How fast this year has flown by. There are only a few days until the Holiday Break. I am looking forward to some rest and relaxation with friends and family. Just a few reminders before we head off next week.
Inclement Weather
Ms. Wacker posted the following message to her blog this afternoon.
In case of inclement weather, please do the following:
1. Log on to www.cobbk12.org for the most up to date information on school closings
2. Watch the news and listen for updates for Cobb County Schools
Please do not call the school. Our phones are overwhelmed on mornings where you think school may be closed. The other options are better sources of information and you will get a quicker answer.
Holiday Book Exchange
Please don't forget to bring in your new paperback book for the Holiday Book Exchange. Boys should bring in books that another boy would enjoy and girls should bring in books that another girl would enjoy. Please label the book "boy" or "girl". Send in the wrapped book on Wednesday, Dec. 15th, Tomorrow. This is a fun activity and a way to promote the love of reading.
Holiday Party
Our Holiday Party will be Friday, December 17, 12:30-1:30. Our wonderful room mom, Sue Larson, is organizing this. If you would like to attend or help, please contact her for details.
I have a holiday gift idea for you! New pencils, folders, crayons, colored pencils, and other school supplies make excellent stocking stuffers!! Everyone's supplies are low - check with your child and see if you can restock for them.
We could also use notebook paper and expo markers in the classroom for the upcoming year.
If you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.
Have a Happy Holiday!!!
Chris
