I hope you enjoyed all the snow and ice and the days off of school. Hopefully you are well rested and ready to hit the ground running!! We have a lot of learning to do!
Our major focus this week will be 5th grade's Ellis Island immigration simulation. Each child needs to come to school NEXT Friday, January 28th, dressed in costume of their native country (or country of choice) and bring a dish to share from that country. Please label all dishes and serving utensils that you would like returned. If possible use disposable containers. We also need parent volunteers for this activity. Let us know if you can help out. We will need parents for two shifts:
8:00-9:30 Set up food in the cafeteria
9:30-10:30 Help with food in the cafeteria and break down.
Please sign and return the form on the bottom of the Ellis Island information sheet that was sent home in the Tuesday Tracker.
Don’t forget PTA's International Night this Friday, January 21st, at 6:30.
Science Fair information went home today in the Tuesday Trackers. Science projects are mandatory for all 5th grade students. Projects are due Monday, March 7. Eastvalley's Science Fair is March 10.
