Hello everyone, I hope you are all preparing for me to return your child to you next week. However, I am certainly not returning the same child you gave me in August. This class has been miraculous! You will notice a huge change in maturity. Your child can do so much independently. Please continue my efforts and give chores, choices, and design a definitive behavior system. School Box and Lakeshore school supply stores have many charts for behavior management. Your child will actually prefer a management system in order to track his or her own behavior.
Please continue to check your child's folder each night. I am sending home materials everday. Next week I ask that you send disposable snack containers and lunch paper bags instead of personal lunch bags or boxes. The same goes for water plastic bottles instead of a personal water container. I don't want to take a chance that items are left in the classroom. Absolutely NO bookbags or any other personal items are to be taken on the bus the last day of school. The bus driver will not allow a child to take anything on the bus after school that day.
Please remember to send your child's library book back to school. If we have 100% returned we get an icecream party. So far 3 students have not returned books. Please help us earn the party.
