If your child is absent from school, the policy is that you send a note to school stating the reason your child missed school. Please click the above link for a helpful form to fill out. It is very important to the school to have the documentation on file to excuse a child from school when they are absent, so please send a note each time. We will also accept notes from the doctor or dentist about an absence from school.
If we do not receive a note, we must mark the absence as unexcused. After 7 unexcused absences, the matter will be referred to the school social worker.
