Science Olympiad is a competition that requires knowledge of various science topics and engineering ability. There are separate divisions for elementary, middle and high school levels. Our team is selected (look for applications in September) and we practice all school year with our wonderful volunteer coaches. Elementary topics include barge building, wildlife safari, disease detectives, name the scientist, water rockets and more. Each team of two students studies a topic and competes at the local and then state level. This year's state competition is held at Kennesaw State University on Saturday, May 16th.
