DonorsChoose.org is a wonderful website where teachers can post a project to meet a specific need in the classroom and receive online donations from parents, friends, and other patrons. It is an awesome opportunity for us. I have posted a project titled, "Getting Rid of the Wiggles" on my donors choose account. I am trying to purchase six Concentration Cushions for some of the students in my class. I spoke with the Occupational Therapist at our school regarding tools to help students in my class to focus and pay attention for longer periods of time. She recommended the Concentration Cushion. She has used them for several years and has seen them help students focus and concentrate for longer periods of time. For this week only, DonorsChoose.org is having a Dollar for Dollar Matching Campaign. For every dollar that you donate, they will match. You will need to enter the code "Spark" when entering your donation. Your $10 will become $20 toward our class project. Please feel free to pass this information along to family and friends. Dollar for Dollar Matching Campaign Code: Spark--
December 5th -12th
Get excited! We're kicking off a Friends and Family campaign on Monday December 5th, just for teachers. For 1 week, donations from teachers' friends, family, and other supporters can be matched dollar for dollar! How does it work? We'll share a special match code that's valid December 5-12th. When your family & friends make a donation, they just enter this match code during check-out, and the donation is instantly doubled! If you've participated in a past Friends and Family campaign, this year the matching is automatic so it's easier than ever.
Important details:
• Donor’s choose will email us the exclusive match code on the morning of Monday, December 5th. I will post it on the website as soon as it becomes available.
• To receive the match, donors must enter the match code during the payment process - there will be a clearly labeled space for it. Only new donations can be matched (e.g. donations made with a gift card will not be matched).
• The campaign begins at 9am EST on Monday, December 5 and ends at 11:59pm EST on Monday, December 12. Donations given before or after the campaign period will not be matched.
