It is time for another Media Center Photo Contest! Our theme is “Time to Celebrate”. All Eastvalley students may enter an original 8”x10” photo representing the theme from November 15, 2011 until December 2, 2011. Ideas might be celebrating a wonderful grade on a test, a birthday, or a holiday. Please no images of human faces. The winning photographs will be displayed in the Media Center as soon as they arrive. Please click on "Time to Celebrate" form to print hyperlink to the right of this article. Students Safely Search the Internet
Third, Fourth and Fifth Grade students have had media lessons on how to safely search the internet for research information. Cobb County students are very fortunate to be able to use Web Path Express from school and at home. Below are the directions on how to access Web Path Express from home. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Janice Ritt in the Media Center.
- Go to the Eastvalley Home Page at: http://eastvalley.typepad.com/
- Click on the Cobb Virtual Library Link on the left side of Eastvalley’s Home Page.
- Click on “Elementary”
- Type in the user name: information found on sticker inside student's agenda
- Type in the password: information found on sticker inside student's agenda
- Click on “Destiny”
- Using the drop down menu, click on: “Eastvalley”
- You are now in Destiny Quest.
You may log into Destiny to access your own account by clicking on “login” at the top of the screen. (Students in the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades have their own accounts.) Please use your seven digit student number to login.
Accessing WebPath from Destiny
1. Click on “Exit Destiny Quest” on the top right side of your screen.
2. Click on “WebPath Express” on the top left side of your screen.
3. Type in the topic that you would like to search in the search box
4. Click on “Search”.
5. Click on the hyperlink of your choice.
6. To return to Destiny Quest, click on “Destiny Quest” on the left side of the screen.

1. Type in your topic in the search box at the top of our screen.
2. Books on your topic will show up.
3. Click on the “websites” in the upper left hand side of the screen.
4. Website icons will show up on the screen. You may click on the icon to go to the website.
5. To save a website to your account, drag the icon to your virtual book bag.
