Dear Parents and Students,
Welcome back to Eastvalley Elementary. My name is Coach Albert your child’s physical education teacher. This year, I will be encouraging your child to learn how to be physically active in ways that assist their physical, social, emotional and cognitive development and abilities. It is my goal to develop a desire for lifelong physical activity. In class, I look forward to a productive year with movement, fun, and learning.
In physical education class, your support is needed. Please help us in our effortsto provide a safe environment for your child. Listed below are the requirements for physical education:
1. Gym Shoes that tie or Velcro. Please, no slip on’s, flip flops, hiking boots, platforms, or roller shoes.
2. Socks should be worn to prevent your child from getting blisters.
3. Shorts should be worn when wearing a skirt or dress.
4. Jewelry should not be worn like bracelets, necklaces and long earrings.
5. It is important that students dress comfortably because of various activities.
6. If your child cannot participate in physical education class for any health concerns, please provide a note from home.
A doctor’s note must be provided if your child will be out for more than 4 physical education classes a month. I strongly encourage all students to follow the rules for their safety and safety of others. The rules are “Be Safe, Be Respectful, Be Here and Ready”!!! Together, we can encourage fitness, nutrition, and exercise for a lifetime of good health. Thank you for your help and support.
Sincerely,
Coach Albert
