Hi everyone, today we had a great language lesson. We have been reading “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” by Eric Carle. It tells of the hatching of an egg on a leaf and how the caterpillar eats many foods. He grows big and builds a chrysalis around himself. And finally he becomes a beautiful butterfly. We focused on vocabulary (names of stages and foods) and number( 1 apple, 2 plums). We finished the lesson by making the stages of a butterfly using noodles! They will hang in the hallway to show everyone what we know. It will come home soon so you can hang it on your refrigerator! Have a great weekend.
Mrs. Orr's class and those in speech have been spending a lot of time learning about frogs and their life cycle. We finished the unit today singing "Five Little Speckled Frogs," doing an interactive activity on the SMART board, and creating our own individual frog life cycles.
