Interviewer: How did you come up with the idea of Reading Ambassadors?
Super Chicken: Last year while walking through the back hall by the media center, I saw the pictures of Eastvalley's Newbery Award Winners and high point earners. I was impressed with what the students have accomplished. It gave me a great idea. Eastvalley could have some Reading Ambassadors to help other students be excited about reading!
Interviewer: What is a Reading Ambassador?
Super Chicken: A Reading Ambassador is a student that has been selected by me to promote the love of reading, great reading strategies and improved comprehension skills. The Reading Ambassadors were picked from the Newbery Award winners and the 200 and higher Accelerator Reading point earners.
Interviewer: How can I determine who is one of Super Chicken’s Reading Ambassadors?
Super Chicken: On Fridays, all of my reading ambassadors will be wearing their new Super Chicken Reading Ambassador’s shirts. They are royal blue with my picture on the front. Since you asked, check out a picture of Eastvalley's Reading Ambassadors at the top of this blog. I bet you can recognize a lot of my friends.
Interviewer: When do the Reading Ambassadors meet?
Super Chicken: We meet every Friday in the media center at 1:45 PM. Super Chickens Reading Ambassadors work one-on-one with students to spread the lifelong love of reading.
