How to Draw a Caricature
Please remember to...
1. Buy your poster board.
2. Sketch a rough draft of your caricature.
3. Gather your required research information and document your resources.
4. Type your information and find a small picture for your text box to cover.
5. Create your final project by assembling all your information and drawing your caricature neatly on your poster board. Color!!!
6. Prepare a short (less than a minute) monologue. MEMORIZE! Be prepared to share your speech with your classmates. Prepare your costume. You will dress-up as your person on the day of your presentation.
Next week, we will practice our monologues in class. Bring your note cards and information to class so we can practice.
WEEKLY QUESTION: Write a letter to Mrs. Covington and tell her what you've enjoyed about our unit. What did you learn? What did you like the best? What was your least favorite activity/lesson?
HOMEWORK reminder for 5th grade: One person in your castle group should be typing up your 16 labels for your castle. You may need to bring in toothpicks to attach your labels. Next week is your LAST construction day, it should be for final touches!
