Construction update June 30, 2011

Hi Eastvalley family,

I wanted to share some updated photos from this week at Eastvalley.  I know you are anxious to see how the project is progressing and what it looks like at Eastvalley now.  The lights are in, the clocks are in, the tank-less water heater is in, the flush valves have been replaced.  They are beginning to install the sprinkler system inside the building. They are working on the awning and sidewalks in both the front and back of the building.  It's a mess, but it will be so worth it when it is completed.  Enjoy the photos below.

I'm off on summer vacation beginning this afternoon and will return to work on July 18.  I hope all of you are enjoying some family time and some relaxation time!  See you soon!

Summer construction

Hi Eastvalley Family,

I wanted to keep you updated on the summer construction/renovations at Eastvalley.  The work is progressing inside and outside of the building.  The new clock system is installed in classrooms and hallways to keep us all on the right time schedule.  Lighting has been switched out in classrooms and hallways to give us more efficient lighting.  The old awning and sidewalk have been removed from the front of the building and the concrete has been poured in the ground for the new brick columns.  The old sidewalks in the back of the building have been removed and the grid for the new ones has been set.  Pictures are included so you can see the work as it progresses.  I will update as soon as there is more information to give you.   

The building is still closed to all visitors.  Please call the school number if you need anything (770-578-7214).  If I am not in the office for any reason, please leave a voicemail and I will return your call as soon as possible. 

I hope you all are enjoying your summer days.  Please remember to keep the children reading and refreshing their math facts!! 

The hallway shows the new clock system.  The ceiling tiles are down so the new sprinkler system can be installed.

 
The cafeteria ceiling looks a mess, but will be restored after the sprinklers are installed.

 
The entrance to Eastvalley will look dramatically different with a new sidewalk/awning which will go from the front door to the gym.  You can see where the brick columns will be because the concrete has been poured for the bases to them.
