Hi Eastvalley family,
Well, we are 3 weeks from the opening day of school and I wanted to keep you posted on the progress of renovations at Eastvalley. The pace has picked up and the number of workers in the building has doubled! They are moving right along on the inside with the last phase and that is the sprinkler system. We anticipate an inspection within the next week. The awnings and sidewalks in the back are complete and the awning in front of the building just lacks some brickwork.
Registration WILL take place in the Eastvalley cafeteria tomorrow, Wednesday, July 27 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. We look forward to greeting all our new families. You can find information on what is needed to register on www.eastvalleyelementary.com.

Sneak a Peek will take place Friday, August 12 from 1-3 p.m. Class lists will be posted online and at the front of the school on Friday at 1:00. Please know that this is a time to meet the teacher and see the classroom setting. It will not be a time for individual parent conferences. Parking will be an issue, as always, with a school event. If you come to the school and parking is not available in the parking lot, please go next door to Eastside Baptist Church. Please do not park in the grassy area in front of the school or on any neighborhood streets. You have a good chance of having your car towed if you do so. We don't want that to happen.
School begins Monday, August 15 at 7:50 a.m. You can start bringing your child at 7:15 a.m. Again, parking will be an issue so please use the Eastside Baptist Church parking lot if there are no spots available.
Parent Orientation will be held Tuesday, August 16 for Kindergarten, 3rd and 5th grade and Thursday, August 18 for 1st, 2nd and 4th grades. There will be activities in the gym beginning at 5:00 (ASP registration, spirit wear purchases, lunch payment, Partner in Education greetings, etc.), a brief PTA meeting at 6:10. Parent Orientation sessions will be held at the end of the PTA meeting. Children are welcome but will not attend the orientation sessions. They will be kept in the cafeteria by administration and support staff to watch a movie while you meet with the teachers. Please remember that parking will again be an issue, so use Eastside Baptist Church if our parking lot is full.
